Michael Olman

Director of Community Outreach and Volunteers

Pronouns: He/Him

Reason for joining the Board:  Since moving to O’ahu several years ago, I had been seeking opportunities to get more involved in the LGBTQ+ community here in Honolulu. People that I’ve met overwhelmingly recommended the Hawaii Gay Kickball League as a great place to get involved, help to build a more inclusive and welcoming community, and meet lots of friendly people.

Previous Leadership:  My professional background is in entertainment, having worked for most of the major studios in Los Angeles. In addition, I previously served two terms as a member of the Board of Governors of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as well as several terms on the Board of Directors of the Cinema Audio Society. Additionally, I am a founding member and past Secretary for the Golden Eagle Leather Guard of the Inland Empire, located in Southern California.

Passion/Hobbies: I am an avid cyclist and swimmer and in my free time I can usually be found on/near a beach. I love being outdoors and am always looking for hiking friends and activity partners. I am also heavily involved in photography, working with models and commercial clients. Before moving to Honolulu, I was also an active member of Rainbow Bowlers.  Good food and travel are high on my list of hobbies, as well.
